AFCAT Eligibility Criteria for Flying Branch through AFCAT/ NCC Entry

  • Candidates must be 20 to 24 years.
  • The upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relax able up to 26 years.

Eligibility for the AFCAT Flying Branch: Educational Requirements

Candidates for the Flying Branch positions must possess one of the following educational credentials.

AFCAT Aeronautical Engineer Educational Criteria (Mechanical)

Candidates applying for the position of Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) in the flying branch must meet one of the criteria listed below.

  • Graduate Degree (minimum three-year degree course) in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% or equivalent, or cleared section A and B of Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% or equivalent.

Eligibility for the NCC Flying Branch: Special Entry Criteria
  • In the AFCAT Flying Branch, there are two eligibility requirements for the NCC special admission. Any one of these must be met by the applicants.
  • The NCC Air Wing Senior Division 'C' certificate must be obtained on or after January 1, 2017. Candidates must have completed a minimum of three years of study in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 60 percent marks or equivalent. Graduates with a minimum of three years of study in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 60 percent marks or equivalent.
  • BE/B Tech degree (four-year course) with a minimum of 60% or equivalent from a recognised university.

Candidates must be physically and intellectually fit in order to apply for the AFCAT. Candidates are encouraged to get a medical examination before filling out the AFCAT Application Form to prevent rejections later on. Candidates must also be free of any diseases or disabilities.

CP-III

Eligibility for AFCAT for Government Employees

If applicants work for the government or a government-owned company, they must adhere to certain laws and restrictions in order to apply for the AFCAT 2022 exam. The No-Objection Certificate is comprised of these terms and policies. Examine the following policies in depth to obtain a better idea:

Aspirants (both from the government and from government-owned industrial sections) must demonstrate NOC during AFSB testing. Regardless of whether they are contractual, permanent, or temporary subordinates, the candidates must demonstrate this NOC.
