CAT Exam Eligibility 2024

The CAT exam requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in any field. The following are the detailed CAT eligibility criteria:

  • To take the CAT 2024, candidates must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% aggregate for SC, ST, and PWD/DA categories).
  • Candidates who have earned the necessary percentage in a professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA) are also eligible to take the CAT.
  • Candidates in their final year of a bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification or those awaiting results are also eligible to take the CAT 2024 test.

  • There are normally eight VA questions on the CAT test.
  • Non-MCQ questions in the Verbal Ability section require applicants to type in their answers (TITA)

CAT Results 2024

The CAT 2024 results will most likely be released in the first week of January by IIM. Candidates must log in and input their CAT login credentials, such as CAT Registration ID and Password, on the official CAT website, iimcat.ac.in, to receive their CAT 2024 scorecard. All admissions are based on the CAT 2024 result, thus they must get their CAT scorecard 2024. A merit list for additional IIM MBA admissions in 2023 will be generated based on the CAT result 2024.
