What is NDA EXAM 2024?
For years, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has held the NDA test, which attracts a large number of candidates each year. The National Defense Academy prepares chosen individuals for officer positions in the Indian Armed Forces, including the Indian Air Force, Indian Army, and Indian Navy. This exam is held twice a year by the UPSC. NDA 1 2024 will be held on April 10th, 2024, and the online application form will be available from December 22nd, 2024 onwards.

NDA 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Marital Status
Only unmarried male candidates are allowed to apply for the exam, according to the authorities.
Age Restriction
NDA 1 2024: Whose date of birth is between July 2nd, 2003, and July 1st, 2006.
NDA 2 2024: Whose date of birth is between January 2nd, 2004 and January 1st, 2007.
Qualifications in Education
Educational requirements for the Indian Naval Academy's Air Force and Naval Wings, as well as the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme: Class 12th or equivalent with Mathematics and Physics.
Class 12th or equivalent test is required for Army Wings of the NDA. Candidates who appear to be qualified may also apply.
Fitness
Candidates must be physically fit to the standards set out by the relevant authority.
NDA 2024 - Exam Application Process
Candidates can fill up and submit the NDA exam application form online. Candidates must double-check their completed applications because they will not be allowed to make changes once they have been submitted. To apply for the NDA exam, please follow the steps below:
- The application form for NDA 1 was issued on December 22, 2021, and the application form for NDA 2 will be released on May 18, 2024. Candidates are only allowed to apply over the internet.
- Candidates can also withdraw their applications, but only within a certain time frame, according to the relevant government.
- Students should take special care when filling out the application form because no changes may be made once it is submitted.
- The deadline to submit the NDA 1 application form is January 11th, 2024.
- The NDA exam application process is separated into two categories: In part 1, you must fill out basic information, and in part 2, you must submit a scanned copy of your signature and photograph, select an exam centre, and pay the price.
- Take a printout of the downloaded application for future reference once you've filled in all of the required data and uploaded all of the required documents.
NDA 2024 - Exam Application Fees
- Rs.100/- for General/OBC
- You do not have to pay the application fee if you are a SC/ST student or a ward of NCOs/JCOs/Ors.
- Candidates can pay their fees using SBI challan or net banking/debit card.

NDA 2024 - Syllabus
Paper 1- Mathematics
ALGEBRA, MATRICES AND DETERMINANTS, TRIGONOMETRY, ANALYTICAL GEOMETRY OF TWO AND THREE DIMENSIONS, DIFFERENTIAL CALCULUS, INTEGRAL CALCULUS AND DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS, VECTOR ALGEBRA, STATISTICS AND PROBABILITY.
Paper 2- General Ability Test
Part A- English
Grammar and usage, vocabulary, comprehension and cohesion in extended text to test the candidate’s proficiency in English.
Part B- General Knowledge
The question paper on General Knowledge will majorly cover the subjects : Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Social Studies, Geography and Current Events.
NDA 2024 - Admit Card
Two or three weeks before the exam, the authorities distributed NDA admission cards to students who had successfully applied for the exam. There are no other options for acquiring the admission card than going online.
Candidates should read the information on their admission card carefully since it will provide them with information such as their exam date, roll number, exam day, time, and venue, as well as other exam-related instructions.
NDA 2024 - Answer Key
- A handful of coaching schools offer the solution key after the exam is completed. The concerned authorities may or may not share the official NDA answer key.
- Students can forecast their grades by matching their responses to the answer key.
- They will be able to determine whether or not they will pass the exam in this manner.
NDA 2024 - Results
Candidates who took the NDA exam can see their results through the Union Public Service Commission's official online page. The authority will announce separate written exam and final round results.
The NDA 1 result is planned to be released in June 2024, and the NDA 2 result in November 2024. It will be available in pdf format online.
The names of candidates who have been shortlisted for the SSB interview round and medical exam are shown on the NDA outcome cum merit list. Candidates must maintain a copy of their result card for future use.
NDA 2024 - Cut-off
The responsible authorities will announce the category-by-category cut-off for NDA 2024. The cut-off criterion will differ depending on the category. The cutoff for the written test will be 342, while the final cutoff will be 708.
Candidates that meet the cutoff requirements are eligible to advance to the next round.
NDA 2024 - Selection Procedure
Candidates will be chosen by NDA based on their overall performance in both the written test and the SSB interview. First and first, UPSC picks candidates based on their performance in the written test, and then they are invited to the SSB interview.
The SSB interview will be divided into two stages: Stage I and Stage II. Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) examinations such as Picture Perception and Description Test are included in Stage I. (PP&DT).
